The inspirational person of the month is actually, two people. These two best friends in rural China help each other get through each day, one day at a time. Jia Haixia and Jia Wenqi have been planting trees on a plot of land they lease from the government for 10 years. Jia Wengi is a double arm amputee while Jia Haizia is blind. Together they help each other, by being each others hand and eyes.

“I am his hands, he is my eyes,” says Haixia. “We are good partners.

Haixia was born blind in one eye due to cataracts and due to debris getting is his other eye in 2000, he has been completely blind. Wendi received his double arm amputation when he was just three years old.

Together they are both very involved with helping and protecting the environment. Their goal is to plant as many trees as possible to help the environment and to keep their village from flooding.
